As you know the chavair crew have a new aircraft and over the last few weeks we’ve been getting to know her. Depending on what type of aircraft you have flown in the past moving onto a new one can mean that the pilot has to do some “conversion” training to get used to the new systems or handling of the aircraft. As our new aircraft has some differences to what we are used to we have spent a few hours doing “differences” training. Now that it’s all done it’s time to spend some time getting to know our new aircraft with some trips.........

As you of course know by now every single flight starts with checks. Checks on the outside, checks on the inside, checks on the engine and now with our new aircraft checks on the propeller as well as it’s adjustable in flight which means we need to check it’s in full working order before we leave the ground.

Checks all completed and shortly after we take off and are on our way. It’s a nice day for flying with a really big chunk of clear sky that we will be heading off into for our first turning point. as you can see to our right there is some cloud about so we will need keep an eye on things as we fly our route. And make sure we adjust our altitude as required. For now as you can see from the picture we are in the climb up to our first cruising altitude which today will be 6500ft.

Despite all the cloud on our right as you can see below we are really flying in nice clear skies as the view to our left shows as we continue our climb.....

Up into the blue..............you can’t beat it. Where are we going today ?.....off for a little trip down the easyt coast and over to cadwell park (the race track) and then back to Leeds. The trip is about 200 miles and will take us under 2 hours to complete........perfect for Saturday afternoon bimble.

The first leg of or trip is direct from leeds to scarborough on the east coast. Great views up the coast as we reach our first turning point.

Scarborough below, next heading will take us down the east coast...........personally I just love flying along the coast line.

A beautiful winters day as we head south down the coast towards bridlington
